Crayola has produced an incredible number of crayon boxes, color assortments, specialty collections, and package designs over more than a century—and keeping track of them all can get complicated very quickly.

This is my long-term project to document those variations and create practical reference materials for collectors, researchers, and anyone else who enjoys digging into Crayola history. Here you’ll find printable checklists and guides designed to help identify, organize, and track different Crayola boxes and collections. Whenever possible, entries will include details such as dates, assortment sizes, packaging variations, colors, and other identifying features.

 

This is very much a work in progress. Crayola history is enormous, new variations continue to turn up, and some information may change as additional sources are discovered. Rather than waiting until everything is “finished,” I’m building the database piece by piece and sharing the results along the way.

 

My goal is simple: make Crayola history a little easier to explore, collect, and preserve.
