Meet the Animals: Crayola Scribble Scrubbies Farm

Some toys encourage creativity. Others encourage imagination. Crayola's Scribble Scrubbies manage to do both.

For my first look at the Scribble Scrubbies line, I decided to visit the farm. This adorable set includes five washable animal figures—Chuck the Chicken, Daisy the Sheepdog, Mirabelle the Cow, Evie the Horse, and Buster the Cat—along with washable markers and scrub brushes that let kids color, wash, and decorate them again and again.

The concept couldn't be simpler. Color the animals however you'd like. Wash them clean. And start all over again! That simple idea is probably one of the biggest reasons Scribble Scrubbies have become one of Crayola's most popular toy lines.

One thing I really enjoyed while reviewing this set was meeting each of the individual characters. Rather than feeling like generic farm animals, each one has its own name and personality. It's a small touch, but it encourages imaginative play long after the coloring is finished. Of course, coloring is the real fun.

There isn't a "right" way to decorate a Scribble Scrubbie. Every child can create something completely unique, and when it's time for a fresh start, a little water and the included scrub brush remove the washable marker so the creative process can begin all over again.

Watching the colors disappear almost feels as satisfying as putting them on in the first place.

As a collector, I also appreciate how approachable this product is. The figures are well designed, the markers are easy to use, and the entire activity encourages experimentation without worrying about making mistakes. If one design doesn't turn out quite the way you imagined, simply wash it away and try something new.

This Farm set is only one small part of the Scribble Scrubbies world. Crayola has released dozens of themed characters and playsets over the years, including dinosaurs, fantasy creatures, sea animals, pets, and more. I'm looking forward to exploring several of those collections in future videos.

For younger artists and animal lovers, the Farm Scribble Scrubbies are an easy recommendation. They're creative, reusable, and encourage imaginative play in a way that few coloring activities can.
