The Hunt Is Over: I Finally Found Dollar Tree's Retro Crayola Finds

One of my favorite parts of collecting isn't bringing something home. It's the hunt.

A few weeks ago, a fellow Crayola fan shared photos of two Crayola-themed Dollar Tree items that had started appearing in stores: a colorful storage caddy and a matching two-pack of reusable cups. Featuring the classic rainbow logo and cheerful crayon artwork, they immediately caught my attention.

Naturally, I went looking. My first trip came up empty.

So did my second.

Then my third.

And even after checking a fourth Dollar Tree, I still hadn't found them.

The search became a little adventure of its own. Fortunately, persistence finally paid off.

During another visit to my local Dollar Tree, I spotted both items sitting on the shelf exactly where I'd hoped they would be. After weeks of searching, it was surprisingly satisfying to finally place them in my shopping cart.

What attracted me wasn't just the fact that they were Crayola products. It was the artwork.

Both pieces feature the colorful rainbow logo and playful crayon graphics that immediately reminded me of Crayola products from the 1990s. For a collector, those little design details can be just as exciting as the products themselves. Even better, these aren't simply display pieces.

The cups are the perfect size for holding markers, colored pencils, or other art supplies, while the caddy makes a fun organizer for crayons or craft tools. They're practical, colorful, and a nice reminder that collecting doesn't always have to involve rare or expensive items.

Sometimes the most enjoyable finds are the ones hiding on the shelf of your local dollar store.
